Jenny and I often find ourselves in problem solving mode.
With six children (all girls), we know problems. I thought I might offer a thought process for solving most problems in our lives. So, buckle up and let’s go and Happy Monday!
The View:
Let’s accept and embrace the fact that problems are real and problems are inevitable.
Stop trying to avoid problems and start solving them.
Found in the problem is a lesson. A lesson to sharpen you, equip you or awaken you.
Our problem isn’t problems. Our problem is running from our problems.
There is a reason for every problem and the problem is for you, not against you.
The Fear:
The stress we experience will inevitably lead to our deepest fears.
We solve problems when we relinquish fear and grab hold of faith.
Scripture is overwhelming clear on this – Fear, the spirit of fear is not from God. It is man-made.
If you choose poorly, you will have a new problem. If you choose wisely, the next problem is different and you are filled with greater faith.
The Choice:
Every problem needs a solution. Every solution demands a decision. Every decision requires courage.
Courage isn’t found in boisterous bluster and bravado. Courage is found on our knees before a holy and loving God. We don’t need power to solve tough problems. We need a powerful God to solve most problems.
Stop thinking you will make wise choices without the power, presence and provision of God.
Meet Him, speak with Him. He will give you the right choice, and most often He already has – Act on it!
The Reality:
Right, wrong or indifferent, OWN IT.
Blame is never part of the solution. Stop trying to fix blame and start fixing problems.
It’s not about being right…It’s about making life right. So, own it and pray for it…then move on.
Don’t stay where you are…Keep moving. The best solutions seem to be found in the present moment.
In the present moment, the problem can become a past problem.
When we delay the solutions, problems become monstrosities of fear in our lives.
Own it, deal with it, move on. Second guessing is like driving forward while looking only in the rearview mirror.
God has a plan for you. A plan for success and joy.
God wants you to turn to Him because Jesus is praying for you.
God speaks truth into your life. Trust truth. He will never leave you or forsake you.
God will take what was meant to harm you, and use it to strengthen you and bring glory to Himself.
God wants you to be at peace. Rest in His arms. Hear His voice and Live in His love.
God provides hope that tomorrow will be better. Stay the course and trust His voice.
