A Great Article from WIRED Magazine: Psychologists Are Learning What Religion Has Known for Years
Thoughtful, encouraging, and helpful. This is a great read. Here’s a brief excerpt. “Science and religion have often been at odds. But if we remove the theology—views about the nature of God, the creation of the universe, and the like—from the day-to-day practice of religious faith,
the animosity in the debate evaporates.
An Eye-Opening Article from NPR:
“Lawmakers Push Facebook To Abandon Instagram For Kids,
Citing Mental Health Concerns”
This seems to resonate with so many parents. Here’s a brief excerpt: “ Although you have publicly told Congress that ‘the research [I have] seen is that using social apps to connect with other people can have positive mental-health benefits,’ your own company’s research points to disturbing relationships between Instagram use and young people’s mental health challenges.”
A Show that I Really Enjoyed but was Shocked that I Did: “Growing Floret”
We watched this show on Discovery+ and I loved it. The story focuses on a couple in Washington State as they start growing flowers and the hobby becomes a multi-million dollar business.
This is worth watching if only for the videography.
A Fresh Look at Space and Space Travel: SpaceX Launches All Civilian Crew.
I’ve been a space junkie since watching Apollo 11 land on the moon and I watched it with my Pop sitting in his Florida room in Daytona Beach. I am fascinated by watching all of the new exploration and
potential of space travel. This is worth a watch.
A Powerful Quote from John Shelby Spong
“If God is the ground of being, then the only way I can worship God i
s by having the courage to be all that I can be.
The more deeply I can be all that I can be,
the more I can make God visible.”
