I love to share good reads, learnings, listens and reviews with friends and followers. So, thanks for joining me on my 4forFRIDAY BLOG. Most weeks, the 4forFRIDAY offers recommended Reads, Listens, Learnings and Reviews

A Really Good Movie: 1917

This film is gritty and exhilarating to the degree that I was exhausted walking out of the theatre. I think you will be moved and entertained as you watch 1917! Two young British soldiers during the First World War are given an impossible mission: deliver a message deep in enemy territory that will stop 1,600 men, and one of the soldiers’ brothers, from walking straight into a deadly trap.

A Really Good Italian Meal: di Paolo’s Italian Restaurant

I can be a tough critic when it comes to Italian food, but this gem was awesome. I enjoyed “fresh sausage rigatoni, caprese salad and bailey’s Irish cream cheesecake.” It’s tucked inside a strip center off Holcomb Bridge Rd. Jenny loved the lasagna as well.

A Great Read: This Is the Life: Mindfulness, Finding Grace, and the Power of the Present Moment by: Terry Hershey

This is one of those books that really challenged me. It’s a simple and short read, but Terry Hershey always sharpens me and challenges my orthodoxy. It is a great read for any believer! This book is an invitation to practice, to savor, the sacred present. We are called to be available. To be curious. To be alive. To be willing to be surprised by joy. To know there is power in the word enough.

A Quote from Robert F. Kennedy

“All of us might wish at times that we lived in a more tranquil world, but we don’t. And if our times are difficult and perplexing, so are they challenging and filled with opportunity.”
