4forFRIDAY August 31, 2018
Most Friday’s I enjoyed sharing at least four recommended reads, listens, learnings or reviews. Here is this week’s 4forFRIDAY! Enjoy
Rules are only worth having if they protect or benefit you. Here are some rules you can adopt that will improve your life. I love following this guy. His practical and helpful advice can have a huge impact on how you choose to succeed, conquer and live within the margins of your life.
I love the simplicity and price of this watch. I bought it on sale at $12.99, but it’s gone up to a whopping $15.99 now. It’s perfect for fishing, working in the yard or just hanging out. At the price, you never have to worry about banging up your nicer watches.
Before you get all self-righteous on me, watch the trailer. I didn’t know what to expect, but a good friend suggested this movie and we loved it. I thought it might be a total waste of time and money as I hate the rude, crude slapstick films that are the norm these days. Go see this movie. You’ll be glad that you did!
“How did I get here?” These are the words of many Christian men on the brink of burnout or in the midst of a breakdown. They are exhausted, depressed, anxious, stressed, and joyless. Their time is spent doing many good things, but their pace is unsustainable— lacking the regular rest, readjustment, and recalibration they need. Don’t read this book unless you have a willingness to change a few things in your life!
And a quote that I am pondering from Senator John McCain:
“I don’t mind a good fight. For reasons known only to God, I’ve had quite a few tough ones in my life. But I learned an important lesson along the way: In the end, it matters less that you can fight. What you fight for is the real test.”
