What this Season Taught Me

This has been a challenging season in so many ways for me. But as the dust settles on Christmas 2017, I have discovered two lessons that this dude really needs to remember throughout the year.

  1. I am a man flooded with blessings. While I have made strides in my desire to be constantly mindful of those blessings, I have so far to go. Gratitude is the magic elixir in life’s journey to peace. This season was a huge reminder that I have the privilege of serving a wonderful people and a great team of leaders.
  2. That gratitude should stir within me a greater desire to serve, share, love and give with a Christmas attitude throughout the other eleven months. Why do I have a greater desire to do more as the lights and trees are put in place? Probably because I am far more aware of the needs of others. Clearly I need to take inventory of my mindfulness. I invite each of you to join me in the rapid recognition of how to live with a greater sense of generosity all year long.
