Here’s a quick reflection from Sunday’s teaching at Sugar Hill Church. While it was Father’s Day, it’s a reminder to all of us as we learn to lean into the presence and power of the Divine.
Good leaders are:
Leaders Who Have Learned to Lean Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Lean For Salvation Ephesians 2:8-9 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
Lean into Control Matthew 18:3 Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.
Lean into Strength Isaiah 40:30-31 Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Lean into Supply Philippians 4:19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus..
Lean into Learning James 1:5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
Lean into Leading and Lean into Greatness Matthew 20:26 But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant,
These are guiding promises and directives that give us a quantum leap into the last point – GREATNESS.
