Growing up in a politicians home, fully engaged with the “proper way of political thinking”, I once considered a career in politics. That was before the state of politics in our great land became littered with the insanity of inflexible party dogma.
Every news show has become a commentary spouting a left or right preference with no concern for what might be best for the whole, but rather best for personal gain.
Yes, it’s probably been that way for decades, but it certainly is exacerbated by the left and right media. We all have been painted with a big broad brush when it comes to our political leanings. Typically, out of context and often with selfish motives or political bigotry. It seems as though every statement is parsed through an endless filter of race, donkey, elephant, gender or past.
At some point and at some time, we must cease the endless bickering and meaningless pandering. For that to happen we must start in our own homes, churches, schools and yes, polling stations.
At some point, we must end the litany of spoon fed commentary entering our heads, hearts and homes. We must seek wisdom from on high, stop parking our God-given brains and discover a personal path of conviction.
The Holy Scriptures are Waterford Crystal clear. “Let your yes mean yes and your no mean no.”
Check your motives and your reasoning today. Seek peace from on high and trust the wisdom given upon request, as the Divine speaks truth into your soul. I’m not asking you to agree with me. I’m asking you to ask for wisdom from the God of all Creation. That is how this nation, under God will be indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
One more talking head, political pastor, aspiring author or narcissistic know it all will not assure that. But let a handful of men and women committed to the truth of Heaven start living, loving and leading like Jesus the Lord and watch what happens.
Let us be committed to that truth, without concern for Russia, walls, economic sanctions or global warming. Once we do, those issues will be solved.
Seek Peace Today,
—AChuck
