A Short and Great Read:
5 Actionable Steps to Take When There’s Too Much on Your Plate
Perhaps you’re swamped with tasks trying to prepare for some upcoming time off. Or, maybe your daily workload is constantly so overwhelming, you feel like you can never catch up. Either way, you’re left looking cross-eyed at a to-do list, wondering how you’ll ever manage to get it all done. I’ve been there before. Having way too much on your plate is a disheartening, frustrating, and stressful experience. But, if you think your only options are to put your head down on your desk or start breathing into a paper bag, you’ve got another thing coming.
Here are five actionable steps to take when you’re feeling buried under your work.
A Great, Short Video:
Michael Jr. as Brand New Dad
This is an amazing video. If you are joining us Sunday at Sugar Hill Church, you’ll get to see how we use this touching video from Michael Jr. The power of a father’s voice is amazing!
The Best Paper Productivity Tool:
Productivity Planner
I am on a constant search for anything that can aid me in improving my productivity and efficiency. Jenny found this tool at Anthropology, but don’t think of this as a lightweight tool. This combines the clarity of the Pomodoro technique, the simplicity of a task list and the focus of David Alle’s Get Things Done. Check it out and let me know what you think
A Really Fun Restaurant for Date Night:
NINE MILE STATION on the Rooftop of Ponce City Market
Nine Mile Station is an elevated restaurant located on the roof of Ponce City Market with a unique indoor-outdoor space offering sweeping unobstructed views of Atlanta’s skyline spanning from Buckhead to Downtown. Nine Mile Station serves delicious, shareable food. The patty melt was rediculous! And the lightly fried sweet stuffed peppers were simply awesome! If you are a foody, like me and Jenn, you’ll love this place!
Bonus Round: A Quote that I’m Attempting to Grasp Hold of…
“Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.” –JOHN QUINCY ADAMS
Thanks for jumping on board with me! I trust these are helpful for you. I created this weekly list as a result of the many folks that asked what I was reading or what I was listening to, or what resource would I recommend. Enjoy!
Remember, this is a collection of recommended Reads, Listens, Learnings, and Gadgets…with the occasional restaurant review and YouTube suggestion. This is not a class on doctrine or theology…enjoy and share!
Stay Cool,
Chuck
