I’m writing today as I sit on the back porch overlooking the inlet on the southern tip of Tybee Island. It’s breezy, peaceful and happy. Watching the tides come in and out is pretty relaxing. Later today, we’ll start playing some beach music as it magically moves from iPhone to Bluetooth speaker. We will listen to Motown, country, classic rock and some Jesus music. Earlier this morning, I was watching the sun burn off the clouds while listening to Lauren Daigle sing “Trust in You.”
I always leave the beach wanting to take the attitude of beach music with me. I’m pretty good at keeping the sounds, sites, and smells of the beach with me for a few hours. And then, life happens. I know that you know what I’m talking about!
As a follow-up to yesterday’s BLOG, Hush!, I offer the following thoughts from the beach.
Life shouldn’t be this challenging, yet it is.
Money, Power and Fame count for nothing unless your soul is at peace.
Hope is far more essential to life than water.
The Beach and its music is an attitude, not a location.
Music can move you and your attitude. Let it!
Get to “your beach” and let the sun saturate your soul.
Today, find a place, crank up your version of beach music and let the peace, calm, and clarity found in the rising tide, the setting sun and fresh white sand wash over you.
Be at peace today!
