Most Fridays, I enjoy sharing at least four reads, listens, learnings, reviews or gadgets that I have enjoyed or learned from. They aren’t always faith-based, but they are always good recommendations. Here is this weeks 4forFRIDAY for Friday July 20, 2018.
A Really Good Read: PEAK PERFORMANCE by Brad Stulberge & Steve Magness.
If you lead anything, want to lead something, or might someday lead something READ THIS BOOK! If you feel burned out, can’t rediscover your passion or need help performing at the level you’d like to perform at, READ THIS BOOK! The science revealed in “Peak Performance” will sharpen your mind, focus your efforts and grow your leadership understanding as well as any book that I have read over the past ten years.
A Really Great Daily Reader: The Daily Stoic with Ryan Holiday
This sounds a bit daunting, but the entire book is written with 366 meditations on wisdom, perseverance, and the art of living. You can read, and make a note or two in less than five-minutes each day. I have added this to my daily morning routine after hearing Michael Hyatt recommend it. You’ll be glad you took me up on this one!
A Really Awesome and Inexpensive Pen: Pilot FriXion Erasable Gel Pens
I love these cheap pens. I’ve hung up my Mont Blanc and jumped into the land of erasable pens. WRITES LIKE A GEL PEN, ERASES LIKE A PENCIL: FriXion lets you write smoothly but leaves room for error. Unique Thermo-Sensitive gel ink formula disappears with erasing friction. These are compatible with FriXion Ball, Clicker, and Retractable pens.
A Really Comfortable Athletic Shoe: Skechers Sport Men’s Elite Flex Hartnell
This has to be the most comfortable shoe that I’ve ever worn. The comfort of a house shoe, the bounce of a good runner, the look of a casual shoe and it’s available in wide sizes as well. You’ll love these shoes.
A Quote I Have Been Pondering from the Book “PEAK PERFORMANCE.”
“When we transcend our “self” and minimize our ego, a whole new realm of possibilities emerges.”
Have a great weekend!
