Life in a Tweet

Life in a Tweet by AChuckAllen

If you were to tell your life’s story in a Tweet, what you carve out of 140 characters?

Seriously, when I tried this, I was shocked at how difficult it would be.

You might be thinking, why do this exercise at all? Because this life does count for something. Your purpose here on this planet has been Heaven directed and God inspired. You are a marvelous creation. So marvelous that you are an image bearer of the most high God. To take a look at your life and force it into 140 characters is to treasure hunt for meaning, direction, course correction and purpose. It is the most complex effort, and yet it is the most simplistic story. We are His creation. To tell that story is to know His work within us.

It is a most beautiful thing to both know the Creator and to be known by Him. As my friend, Bobby McGraw would say YourStoryMatters.com.

When you layer your thoughts with Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 it helps you refine your thoughts into seasons.

There’s a Right Time for Everything – Ecclesiastes 3:-8 (The Message)

1 There’s an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth: 2 A right time for birth and another for death,A right time to plant and another to reap,3 A right time to kill and another to heal,A right time to destroy and another to construct,4 A right time to cry and another to laugh,A right time to lament and another to cheer,5 A right time to make love and another to abstain,A right time to embrace and another to part,6 A right time to search and another to count your losses,A right time to hold on and another to let go,7 A right time to rip out and another to mend,A right time to shut up and another to speak up,8 A right time to love and another to hate,A right time to wage war and another to make peace.

Here’s what I came up with:I was selfish chasing the wrong dream. I Crashed and burned. I was Broken beyond belief. I was Rescued and blessed. I am now chasing after the Divine.

Go ahead and give it a try. I’ll bet it is easier for you.
