In a world of confusion and chaos, we can often lose our perspective of this messed up world…And many of us lose our way to the degree that we aren’t really sure about who we really are. I can’t tell you the number of folks that sit in my office and say “I don’t even know who I am anymore.” So, let’s settle that issue with a clear understanding of who are you in the eyes of the Divine!
FIRST – You are God’s Draft Pick – He chose you!
1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. “Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.”
God chose you because you because He loves you with an unstoppable, unshakeable love!
Ephesians 1:4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
God chose you because He cares for you more than you are even capable of caring for yourself!
Titus 3:7 Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.
