EASY LIKE SUNDAY MORNING with ACHUCKAllen
I can remember when our kids were little and getting everybody, fed, teeth brushed, Sunday clothes on, in the car and car seats, checked in to preschool or children’s ministry areas, over to “big church”, walking the gauntlet of hand shakers and finally into the service 15 minutes late, only to be scolded for not getting to church on time only to realize that I’m actually wearing two different socks that were under two different shoes. Whew!
This morning, dress as comfortably as you wish. Heck, wear your PJ’s if you want. If your kids are driving you bat crazy…cut the line and ask the check-in person to just handwrite it, while saying, “I’m worn out – Help a sista out!” Then go grab a cup of coffee or tea, walk into the worship service like a boss walks into a resort for vacation. Sit down, take a deep breath and sing if you want to, stand if you wish, only shake hands if you want to, and listen to a word of encouragement. I can do that kinda church!
