4forFRIDAY with AChuck

This Week’s 4forFRIDAY  – July 14, 2017

Each week I like to share with you four resources that have challenged, sharpened or encouraged me. These recommendations aren’t necessarily church related or even spiritually focused. They aren’t doctrinal statements. They are just a few recommended reads, listens, learnings, gadgets or reviews.

  1. A Really Good Read7 Surprising Traits of True Geniuses
The truth behind the recipients of the so-called Genius Award has much to teach us about our own brilliance. – By Larry Robertson

  2. A Really Good Seafood Joint! Kathleen’s CatchWe have purchased fresh shrimp from Kathleen’s Catch a few times, but the last time we were there, we enjoyed a bowl of their corn and clam chowder – O My Goodness! Seriously the best chowder I’ve ever eaten! This place is clean, fairly priced and full of awesomeness. The girls got lobster rolls and loved them – YUM!
  3. A Really Great Ice Cream Cone – Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream I am probably late to this party, but wow! This is how ice cream is supposed to taste! Yes, it’s not cheap, but holy cow, this is so stinking good! We’ve enjoyed Jeni’s at Avalon in Alpharetta and at Ponce City Market downtown. You will be so glad that you purchased Jeni’s. Beware, this is probably habit forming!

  4. A Really Great Listen -10 Podcasts That Will Make You Smarter
Feed your brain at the gym, in the car, or whenever you have a few minutes to spare. These podcasts will challenge you in so many ways. I especially enjoy listening to podcasts that are well outside of my norm. It gives me a better understanding of the cultures I do not understand and belief systems that I’ve never understood.

And a Bonus! The Most Professional Office that I’ve Ever Been In!
North Atlanta Center for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Ashley Curington for a bit more than a year. I’ve had cleanings, fillings, extractions, and implants. Since 2004, Dr. Curington has been chosen “Best of Gwinnett” Dentist for the Best Dental Practice by readers of Gwinnett Magazine. And I certainly agree! I know exactly what I’m being billed for before the work is done. I’ve never waited longer than three minutes to be seated in “the chair.” I’ve been cared for by what must be industry champs, and even checked on, following a procedure by the doctor, herself! The office is well run and you will be so glad that you visited Dr. Ash at North Atlanta Center for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry

And a quote that I am pondering from George Washington as he wrote to General Benedict Arnold on September 14, 1775 –“While we are contending for our own liberty, we should be very cautious not to violate the rights of conscience in others, ever considering that God alone is the judge of the hearts of men, and to him only in this case they are answerable.”

I hope to see you Sunday at Sugar Hill Church! We have three Sunday Worship Gatherings and broadcast them live on Facebook, live.sugarhill.church,  and on our APP.
This Sunday, I’ll continue our new teaching series: GOOD VIBES!

See you Sunday,
AChuck
