Here is today’s 4forFRIDAY – Enjoy!

Each Friday I throw at least four suggested reads, listens, learnings, gadgets, movies, or restaurants out for your consideration. Several hundred folks subscribe, and hundreds more read these on Facebook or Twitter feeds. Regardless of how you receive these recommendations, thanks for joining me! These aren’t doctrinal or theological statements, they are simply suggested items that I’ve enjoyed, or found to be helpful. I hope you’ll enjoy them as well.

Just click on the title. They are all linked up and ready for you!

A Really Good Read from Regi Campbell:  STOP TINKERING & JUST DO SOMETHING

Did you know that there’s been a dramatic shift in the age when most young adults complete all the major transitions into adulthood? We’re talking about leaving home, finishing school, becoming financially independent, getting married and having a child. Back in 1960, 77% of women and 65% of men had completed all these transitions by age 30. Fast forward to 2000 and those numbers dropped to only 46% of women and only 31% of men having completed those same transitions by the time they turned 30.

A Great! Let me Say That Again – A GREAT STEAKHOUSE in Buford: Bare Bones

If you are a steak lover – you are going to love this little gem in Buford, Georgia. I enjoyed the Prime Ribeye, creamed spinach, sweet potatoes, and braised green beans. O My Stars! Might be the best steak that I’ve ever eaten, and the sides are equally delicious. I rarely have a dessert, but indulged with a strawberry cobbler with homemade ice cream. Crazy Good! Let me know if you enjoyed it as much as I did.

A Really Good Album I’m Enjoying: Kari Jobe – The Garden

In typical Kari Jobe fashion, this is an encouraging, uplifting album with an ease to listen to and sing along. Her lyrics are always spot on and her voice conveys a genuine passion for the Lord. My favorite song on the album is, “The Cause of Christ.” Let me know what you think!

A Powerful Daily Spiritual Growth Tool for Busy Folks: The Daily AHA!

Designed for busy folks to have a meaningful, purposeful, and daily experience with The Holy Scriptures. A few verses of Scripture are fed to you, a short commentary follows that. Then a guided Prayer. Then it’s your turn. Type in the app wat you are praying for, what you are grateful for, and what you think the Divine is teaching you through that day’s Scripture reading. Then what your Big AHA was and what you’ll do with it and who you’ll share it with. All on THE SUGAR HILL CHURCH APP -Download the app on your device in the App Store or in the Google Play Store for iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets.

Bonus: A Powerful Quote that I’m Pondering On, from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
“An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.”
